Pacific Pinball Exposition 2008
This is Pacific Pinball Expo 2008 at Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael, CA.
This event is like California Extreme only its all pinball games. This event are a lot of fun. They have pinball machines as old as 1930s! I will be going again next year if I can!
Favorite game of the event.
Rocket Rifle Range
Rocket Rifle Range was a fun and different kind of pinball game. Instead of using flippers to control the ball to get points, you use the the gun. The bumpers bounces the ball around and you get points by shooting by shooting the four center bumpers to light them up otherwise you wont get any points when the ball hits those bumbers. You still have to work on shooting those bumpers because everytime you hit the side bumpers or fall in one of the kick-out hole or also called eject hole (which you have to shoot the ball to get the ball out of the hole), the lights on those four bumpers go out so you have to keep shooting them in order to keep gaining points. Just like all other pinball games if your ball go down the drain you lose a ball. You get 5 balls per game. You'll know what I'm talking about if you watch the video that I took while playing this game.
Pinball Art
Dan Fontes and Ed Cassel painted these huge paintings of pinball scoreboards.
I compared them to real pinball scoreboards there and I couldn't see any difference between them. They were done very well!
