BACKGROUND

One day I had a feeling. I missed The Simpsons arcade game. Of course there are one down at my local Pizza Hut but that's not reason I want to play it. See The Simpsons game was awseome beat up game never ported to any console or pc and I wanted to play it at home. I tried to see if I could find The Simpsons game and I found this crappy PC port (DOS I think) but I couldn't make it run. So one day I thought of something. At that time I already known about console roms but not arcade roms but whatever I gave it a try so I looked up in Kazaa for The Simpsons rom and found one along with hunderds of other games but I was only instered in Simpsons game.

Once I was finished downloading it I open it and saw this MAME program, I messed around with it for a while figuring out how to use it. Once I firgured it out, I fired up The Simpsons and watched the game boot up and comes the The Simpsons logo. I was in shock, I suddly felt I went back in time. I played it for hours beating the game few times. I played other games as well such as pac-man, 1942, TMNT, etc.

Few years later I signed up for X-arcade newsletter. One month I got the newsletter with this link to this site www.peterhirschberg.com/arcade/gameroom.htm NEW LINK www.luncaityarcade.com

I looked around and thought "wow!!!!" and I looked at link section there, I clicked on www.coinopwarehouse.com link and looked at pictures there.

As I looked at the pictures, I thought "Oh my god that's so sad. (I did really felt so sad inside) I remember back then I played those games in arcades and they were new and now look at them! They are rotting away!"

Then I don't really remember what I did next but I know I googled arcade and went to BYOAC site but at that time I didn't care what that site was because I don't know what that site was lol.

About 1 week later or so I came back to BYOAC after few times and went to this fourm and now i know this site. Planning the arcade contion. I brought the arcade book. I didn't really know how to design the cabinet so I followed the book's plan. I went and brought the supplies I needed to build this thing. A sheets of MDF wood, router, and a saw leg.
